  1. Open a Command Line Terminal Window



  2. Enabling the Debian Backports

    su -c "nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/backports.list"

    On Squeeze Append:

    deb http://http.debian.net/debian-backports squeeze-backports(-sloppy) main

    On Wheezy Append:

    deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy-backports main

    Ctrl+x to Save & Exit from nano Editor 🙂
    Then Update the Debian Repos with:
    su -c “apt-get update”
