GhostBSD 3 pkg_add Not Working

This is Due to the Work in Progress of the FreeBSD 9.1 Release that is also the GhostBSD 3 Base Distro.
To Solve this Issue You have to Change the Repo Mirror with:

  • For i386 Release:
    1. Load the Bash Shell: 
      bash
    2. Set the PACKAGEROOT Env Variable As: 
      export PACKAGEROOT=ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-9-stable/Latest
  • For Amd64 Release:
    1. Load the Bash Shell: 
      bash
    2. Set the PACKAGEROOT Env Variable As: 
      export PACKAGEROOT=ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9-stable/Latest

After You Should Happily Follow to Installing FreeBSD Packages! 🙂
